
Business Development Consultant

We’re expanding our Business Development Collective and seeking experienced, relationship-driven Sales & BD Consultants to help grow our client base across Canada. This is an opportunity for seasoned professionals who thrive on independence, value flexibility, and excel in consultative B2B sales.

This role is commission-only, with additional bonuses paid based on revenue performance. All materials, systems, and training are provided.
What you’ll do:

Build and manage your own pipeline of qualified prospects using the tools and processes provided

Leverage your professional network to identify and nurture opportunities aligned with Spire’s service offerings

Conduct targeted outbound outreach and follow-ups using approved messaging and automation tools

Qualify prospects through consultative conversations, identifying client needs and entry points
-
Schedule discovery calls with the Spire leadership team for deeper engagement

Maintain accurate records and updates in Spire’s CRM

Collaborate with the team on proposal development and client onboarding
-
Represent Spire professionally and authentically in every client interaction

The experience you bring:

Minimum 8 years B2B sales experience in professional services (consulting, marketing, agency, SaaS, or similar)

Experience selling to C-suite and senior leadership teams in complex B2B environments

Familiar with project-based or outcome-based pricing models

Proven experience managing and executing the full B2B sales cycle: outreach and pipeline development, lead qualification, client needs assessment, solution design, proposal creation, pitch delivery, contract negotiation, deal closure, and re-engagement for renewal

You’ll stand out if you also:

Have a proven track record of achieving or exceeding $250K+ in annual sales targets (or equivalent deal volume)

Understand how business strategy, operations, and marketing services work together, and can translate that into clear value for clients

Feel comfortable discussing ROI, organizational challenges, and strategic growth without relying on buzzwords or jargon
Compensation

Commission-Only Model: Earn a percentage of the topline revenue for each closed engagement, with tiered rates increasing based on deal value and quarterly performance

Bonuses: Additional performance bonuses are available for meeting or exceeding revenue goals and bringing in multi-service engagements
